Jamaican Food Event Calendar — December 2025

📸 WongaMedia

Three things to start December:

  1. 12 Days of WongaMas—normally we do 12 days of giveaways for WongaMas, but this year we’re spending the first 12 days of December highlighting different initiatives offering various types of support to Jamaican communities. You can find all the videos (and see my Grinch outfit) on the @wongagyal Instagram page.

  2. Hurricane Relief Resources—just in case you want to reference or share some hurricane relief resources here are the links to our posts about Things to Consider Before You Buy to Give, The Importance of Social Sharing, and some Donation Sites.

  3. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! We have a few more blog posts scheduled for December, but this is the last Food Event Calendar of 2025. In case we don’t get a chance to say it again, we wish you a Merry Everything and a Happy New Year!

Now on to the food events happening in Jamaica this month, including a festival benefit, a cake and sip, and holiday markets.

DECEMBER 1-6

Jamaica Food and Drink Kitchen

While we patiently wait for the postponed Jamaica Food and Drink Festival dates, there are still tons of cooking classes, events, and Weekends at the Kitchen, happening all month long at Jamaica Food and Drink Kitchen.

DECEMBER 6

Pinto Pottery Open House

No, this isn’t technically a food event, but they will have food and cocktails alongside all the pottery, jewellery, art, and more, on December 6 at Pinto Pottery’s Open House in Good Hope, Trelawny.

DECEMBER 7

Food, Rum & Reggae Benefit Festival

Food, rum, and reggae for a cause!

The Food, Rum & Reggae Festival on December 7, at 36 Hope Road in Kingston, promises a day of food, entertainment, and purpose, as part of the proceeds go towards rehabilitating Jamaica’s agricultural sector after the devastating effects of hurricane Melissa.

DECEMBER 14

Whisk & Wine | Mikky Tasty Treats

Decorate a cake or cupcakes while sipping on wine in MoBay on December 14 at the Youth Innovation Center on Humber Avenue, Montego Bay.

DECEMBER 14 & 21

Market at the Lawn

Shop, sip, and celebrate local creativity at Devon House’s South Lawn on December 14 and 21.

How is this already the last food event calendar of 2025—where did the time go?!

It feels like we should debrief since it’s the end of the year:

  • Did you actually go to an event because you saw it mentioned in one of these calendars?

  • Do you just read these for the vibes and to know what’s up?

  • Should we keep up with the food event calendars in 2026?

Let us know how you feel in the comments below, or shoot us an email, or DM @wongagyal or @wearewonga on Instagram—we care about your feedback because WE ARE WONGA.

Also, feel free to share any food events, restaurant openings, and other Jamaican food news, happening next year.

We’ll update this post as we find more events, so circle back later in the month to see what’s new (and to help boost our website visits). Or just keep an eye on the @wongagyal Instagram story for even more event and blog updates.
